(Closing the Digital Divide)

(Support for Vulnerable Populations)

(Language & Cultural Accessibility)

(Public Engagement & Community Partnerships)

(Affordability & Open Resources)

English(English Version)

The Equity & Access Corner reflects IAMM’s commitment to health equity, digital inclusion and global public welfare.
As Metaverse Medicine evolves, IAMM emphasizes that technologies must benefit all populations—regardless of geography, age, ability, language or socioeconomic status.

This section focuses on reducing digital inequality, providing accessible design, supporting vulnerable populations, and enabling multilingual health education.

(1) Closing the Digital Divide

IAMM supports initiatives designed to prevent advanced technology from deepening health inequality:

  • Mobile XR health-education vans for low-resource regions
  • Lightweight virtual classrooms for low-end devices
  • Offline-accessible educational modules
  • Free basic medical digital-human classes
  • XR learning spaces built with libraries and schools

Technology should narrow, not widen, health gaps.

(2) Support for Vulnerable Populations

Serving:

  • Older adults
  • Children & adolescents
  • People with disabilities
  • Remote or underserved communities
  • Economically disadvantaged families

Support measures include:

  • Accessible interfaces (large text, voice narration, simplified mode)
  • Barrier-free XR scenes (seated mode, one-hand control)
  • Content adapted for psychological safety
  • Free courses and device sponsorship programs

(3) Language & Cultural Accessibility

IAMM provides:

  • Bilingual content (Chinese–English), expanding to other languages.
  • Culturally sensitive and locally adapted materials
  • Multilingual digital-human voice packs
  • Content review involving local communities

Ensuring inclusive understanding across cultures.

(4) Public Engagement & Community Partnerships

Collaborating with NGOs, schools, communities and governments to promote:

  • Youth health education
  • Chronic disease management programs
  • Maternal & child health education
  • Smoking cessation, exercise and nutrition campaigns
  • VR disaster-response simulations

Emphasizing technology for public good, not only innovation.

(5) Affordability & Open Resources

IAMM commits to:

  • Free public courses
  • Open-access educational content
  • Low-cost XR/AI tools whenever possible
  • Donations and sponsorship for disadvantaged regions
  • No commercial targeting of vulnerable groups

Supporting everyone’s right to health and education.

(6) Ethical & Safety Safeguards

Aligned with IAMM’s policies on:

  • Child protection
